Flip Or Flop? Rvssian Looking To Sell Florida Home With Studio For $US2.5 Million

Jamaican producer Tarik “Rvssian” Johnston appears to be looking to flip his 891-square-foot South Florida home for a staggering US$2.5 million, a significant markup from the $350,000 he paid just five years ago.

However, the listing, which was published in July, was removed last Thursday, a day after the Miami New Times compared the Life Sweet producer’s ambitious asking price of $2,806 per square foot to Miami’s median of $484.

The property, built in 1947, was snapped up by Rvssian’s company Sindicate 12 Corp, in late 2018. A glance at the before-and-after photos reveals a transformative renovation under his ownership.

It now features a “state-of-the-art” recording studio, which, according to Rvssian’s Instagram posts, is called “The Garden.”

According to the listing, the studio features angular wall construction (to diffuse sound waves), a fully-equipped vocal booth, and six-layer soundproofing all around with soundproof acoustic windows and doors for both the studio and booth.

The listing also sweetened the pot with the prospect of additional recording equipment, including a 2020 MacBook Pro, Avid S1 mixing console, Auspurger Active Monitors (Speakers), Genelec 8331 Monitors (Speakers), Manley ref C Microphone, Neumann U87 Microphone, Tube Tech CL1B Compressor, Neve 1087spx pre amp, Uplift producer desk, and Argosy studio console desk with integrated racks for hardware.

There’s also an “artist lounge with full kitchen,” along with two bedrooms, one bath and one half-bath.

The 7,600-square-foot lot has a meticulously maintained backyard and provides ample parking space for up to six vehicles, such as Rvssian’s white Rolls Royce or his red Lamborghini SUV.

The property’s location, however, has its quirks.

Nestled half a mile from Miami International Airport, residents in the area have long grumbled about the noise and airborne soot, the New Times noted in an article last Wednesday. In an attempt to mitigate the disturbance, a noise-reduction wall was erected in 1996, which, amusingly, some locals mistook for traffic signals.

The publication also reported that cops have been called to the vicinity of Johnston’s home after midnight in response to some unusual reports, including a Mercedes that was vandalized, a man in an Army shirt banging on a fence saying, “Hey, it’s me,” and a person in a Ford F-250 allegedly “yelling and attempting to get on the property.”

This isn’t the producer’s first foray into Florida real estate. His Sindicate 12 previously had ties to a Doral residence, which was offloaded in 2020 for $830,000.
