New releases from Jamaican Dancehall and Reggae artists over the last week include Stalk Ashley on a banger dubbed EarthQuake, Beenie Man on his flossy single Sail Out, and a collab titled Gyal Dem Time with Shaggy and Teejay.

Also bringing the heat is Kes and Busy Signal on the Michael Brun-produced Soca jam, HoneyComb, and Zamunda, who has a new album out, which includes a new collab with Popcaan.

Stalk Ashley – EarthQuake

Stalk Ashley has landed the dance tune of the season, no questions asked. Her new single, produced by Droptop Records, Jaxx, and Stalk Ashley Music, and mixed and mastered by Anju Blaxx, bounces on a catchy pulsating riddim, calling dancers to “make it clap … shake it … bend you back then tiktok now!”. The video shows audiences exactly how to shake your body like an ‘earthquake.’

Skillibeng, Nardo Wick – 16CHOPPA

Skillibeng and rapper Nardo Wick’s new collab16 Choppa leaves no stone unturned in detailing their gruesome acts of assassination. Whether it’s by way of their “choppa, s-kelly, matic or hammer”, Skilli says in his effortless trap flows, “Head top splatta,” and “ boy face shatta!” The Jenzar-directed video, which captures the two boating through expansive crocodile-infested marshlands, adds the perfect backdrop for this gritty tale of murder.

Valiant – Weh She Love

In his latest release, Valiant unlocks the key to holding down a “bad baddie” female. It’s simple, he says, “Bad man ah weh she love.”  The “rifle” and “henny” gets her excited and she most definitely “likes to be lied to” – this he knows for sure, as the Khingcam Visuals depict the incidents “based on a true ghetto story.”

Kes, Busy Signal, Michael Brun – HoneyComb

HoneyComb – a buzzy Dancehall-Soca infused track is just what you’d expect from a teaming with Trinidad band Kes and Dancehall star Busy Signal. Produced by Michael Brun, the track floats on easy calypso-inspired melodies with hints of Reggae to create a party vibe.

Davianah – Trips N Drips

It’s all money talk for Davianah in her latest track Trips N Drips. The newcomer talks a big game, admitting, she is “boasy yuh fv#k,” only rocking brands like “real Louie Vuitton pon shoulder.” The Jerro Will-directed music video was shot by Drew the Hacker and Cali Arts in Kingston Jamaica to show Davianah with her crew and Dancehall artist Lisa Hyper in a cameo. KHXOS – Fall From Grace

Singer KHXOS, in a teaming with CEO Music, shares his story of holding the faith despite ‘falling from grace’ to still receive God’s blessings. It’s a slow-tempo ballad with encouraging notes that easily relates –listen more here:

Shaggy, Teejay – Gyal Dem Time

Shaggy and Teejay, in this new collab, have put down another girls’ anthem for the books. The beat, produced by Mr. Bombastic himself alongside Sheldom Harris, calls all “Caribbean gyal, Jamaican gyal, West Indian Gyal and foreign gyal,” to the dancefloor to get down and “bubble” their waistline. Beenie Man – Sail Out

Beenie Man says life is good now that he is “choppin’ di line” in his new single Sail Out. Living the “Lee Chin lifestyle year round,” the Dancehall entertainer takes to the island’s blue water coastline on his100ft yacht, decked with beautiful ladies to deliver the track’s music video. Richie Spice – Real Love

Fans can always count on Richie Spice to bring the flares of a true Reggae lovers’ rock song, and that he did in Real Love. “True love, that’s what you got. Your loving means a lot, your loving makes me happier,” he sings in the verses of the song as the music video portraits happy times with the love of his life.

Nation Boss – Guidance

Nation Boss is back with another of his insightful deliveries on the single Guidance. In the song, produced by Bossy Record Production, the singer pens a thoughtful prayer asking for guidance under the weight of his newfound celebrity, which has attracted too many enemies. Intence – Lonely Road

As many toil with the hardships in their lives, Dancehall deejay Intence says if “you think that you’re the only one, you’re not alone.”  It’s a Lonely Road and the problems keep on coming but he’s not giving up. “Man ah soldier – warrior – ah enemy alone pon dah lonely road yah, [but] Jah Jah still a guide and mi got mi head on mi shoulder he sings in his verses.

Chronic Law – A Solemn Request

The prolific Law Boss is back with another new track this week. Produced by Sonovic Music and 9Miles Records, his new single A Solemn Request is a plea to God for protection from his enemies. As paranoia settles in, the deejay sings “please Lord don’t make dem ketch mi wid a empty clip” – Listen more here:

Shane O – Instigate 

In his latest release Instigate, Shane O delivers an ode of betrayal and deceit, sampling 50 Cent’s Many Men (Wish Death) in the intro. The deejay goes on to describe just how low these fake friends will go to take your life. “Dem will kill fi yuh curry, kill yuh fi yuh mutton – trust mi – dem will kill all when you nuh have nutt’n,” he sings in the verses.

10Tik – Where You Learn aka Mood

Dancehall deejay 10Tik released a new single dubbed Where You Learn aka Mood this week from his newest EP So Sensual. The sultry slow jam arrived with a video treatment directed by New Wave Visuals, capturing the deejay setting the ‘mood’ with several ladies spanning across the continents of Antigua and Canada.

Zamunda Feat. Popcaan – Lights In The Sky

Zamunda and the Unruly Boss Popcaan brought some new music for Reggae fans this week on Lights In The Sky – a single from the album Jah Love Surround Me. The Sweet Waters Spawn Music-produced single is a toast to the cannabis culture and “lighting a spliff” to erase all your problems.
