Shenseea, Skillibeng Bring The ‘Rain’ In Their First Collab: Listen

Dancehall’s Shenyeng princess Shenseea and the Fresh Prince Skillibeng have surprised fans with a collab.

The duo’s new single Rain dropped with a lyric video courtesy of ‘B The Visionary’ on Friday (July 29), and with rap beats from ATL Jacob, the producer behind Kodak Black’s Super Gremlin, Kevin Gates’ Super General, Lil Baby’s Right On, Future’s Wait For U ft. Drake and Tems, Lil Baby’s Real As It Gets and Future’s First Off with Travis Scott, among others.

On the catchy new track, Shenseea takes her deejay flow for a spin, sampling the nursery rhyme Rain Rain Go Away to separate her “rich” self from those “simp b!tches.”

Skillibeng arrives to back the Dolly singer with less talking, “If you dis Shenyeng ah buss head, yuh hear brrrrp! Ah Eastside gun dem … whap whap cross face like box … Buff buff buff buff buff buff buff, buff buff buff buff buff bap buff, suh mi gun thump up yuh face ol hook, walk wid the K’ like seh a one foot, buff buff buff buff buff buffbuff buff…”

Loving her new beat with Skilli, Shenseea said, “Wait til you hear thissss in the club!!!!!,” on an Instagram post yesterday to promote the track.

The two Jamaican stars stirred suspicions earlier this month when they were spotted together backstage at the Wireless Festival in the UK. While they took the stage separately, it appears they were also busy working on new music together.

The fans couldn’t be happier for the surprising link-up. Now the Shenyeng and Eastsyde fans have found themselves united and all in favor of the new beat.

“What a very unexpected combination, I love it, “said one YouTube listener. Another agreed, “The collaboration we didn’t ask for, but the one we needed,”

It’s just enough feedback the duo needs to follow through with a music video.
