Popcaan, Toni-Ann Singh Spark Dating Rumors, But Some Fans Aren’t Convinced
The Unruly Boss Popcaan and Miss World 2019 Toni-Ann Singh have sparked dating rumors after they shared a series of photos and videos, but some fans are not so convinced.
Popcaan, 33, who was one of the headlining acts at the NNP’s Youth Rally in Grenada on Friday, June 10, 2022, brought Singh, 26, along with his usual entourage.
Social media users started to raise eyebrows when the My Type deejay and the beauty queen sat beside each other on the private flight to Grenada and posted a couple of snaps enjoying each other’s company. However, things intensified on Friday afternoon after Poppy posted photos of them to his Instagram feed with the caption, “Stay right next to me!” and the hashtag #GIHE, which is his upcoming album Great Is He.
In the penultimate slide, he is seen putting on a diamond chain around Singh’s neck, before they embrace each other in the subsequent slide. Toni-Ann, on the other hand shared the photos to her IG story individually.
Last Tuesday, Singh dropped her own hint that something might be going on between her and the deejay, but everyone totally overlooked it.
She posted some casual photos she took at a Labour Day party in St. Thomas with the caption, “Outside” deliberately using Popcaan’s Unruly hand sign emoji 🤟🏾.
Naturally, social media has come alive with fans of both the deejay and pageant winner adding their two cents. Among those are ZIP FM disc jockey and music producer Tricia “ZJ Sparks” Spence, who reposted the photos with the suggestive caption, “Unruly King and the Beauty Queen #StThomas out dere”

One fan commented that Singh clearly has the remedy to tame Popcaan, since he has gone the extra mile to show public “affection.” “Well she must a do summen good cause I never see poppy wid nuh other woman in public so relaxed and look he got her matching glasses,” she wrote.
“Mi like this enno…it buzzy bad,” said another suspecting fan. “I love this for them settle down moments,” another added.
One more person even likened them to Reggae King Bob Marley and Miss World 1976 Cindy Breakspeare, who became parents to Damian ‘Jr. Gong’ Marley.
“Toni and Poppy! Bob and Cindy 👀,” they said.
However, several others weren’t too convinced by the show.
Some suggested that the charade is all for an upcoming music video. “They making a video or she going on tour with him to buss her music career. These pics are just to stay in the news,” another fan said.
“‘Stay right next to me’ a the name a him music video!” one person said.
Others said they believed the St. Thomas natives were just platonic friends putting on a show.
“The hug is friendly,” one fan said, while others agreed: “Hug deh just no look sexual to me, nah buy this,” “It looks platonic if u ask me,” and “That hug not giving relationship vibes.”
Popcaan has previously dated Trinidadian socialite Kavell Keir. The two had unfollowed each on Instagram but never confirmed or denied their split.
The Fall In Love deejay was known to be notoriously heated in Keir’s defense, once blasting a fan—who said she was “getting lowkey ugly”—with a “her beauty killing you slowly, pick a casket zombie” clap back.
They’re now seemingly amicable, and are following each other on ‘Gram again. Kavell sent the 876GUD a birthday shout-out in July last year, which he later shared to his stories, while he has been liking her snaps on the platform.
