Dancehall star Popcaan, who seems to have a growing list of close friends-turned-enemies, is “grateful” that they are revealing themselves.

Poppy’s newest ‘opp’ is one-time associate Jafrass, who on Monday, used Instagram to get some issues between himself and the Unruly Boss off his chest.  Jafrass, who hails from Montego Bay, has alleged that Popcaan sent one of his cronies to deliver an ‘un-welcomed’ message.

On his IG stories, last night the One Word Boss stated: “B#$%%man popcaan, doh send No punk fi try diss me cause me and you know that nuh possible – behave yuh sh#t up self punk.”

Then on another slide, he followed up with, “Bout diss (thinking face) Wah kind a diss? A cd (laughing face),” which references the intro of Vybz Kartel’s Nuh Play Roun Wid Fire (2014).

Jafrass, who is signed to NotNice Records, is known for songs like War Mi Nuh and Crime Lord, which appeared on his Faith EP (2021).

He and Popcaan collaborated on 2017’s Unruly Camp with Quada.

The Wrong Move artist also argued that Popcaan’s motive behind sending the messenger was because he doesn’t want to see Jafrass succeed.  He asserted that not even a trip to a land of spiritualists could stop him from receiving his blessings.

“You nuh wah see me rich but all if yuh guh Haiti you cyah stop the blessing pvssy,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, Popcaan, who seems to be staying clear of the drama, today issued a subtle statement suggesting that Jafrass should just let bygones be bygones.

“You need to understand this. When someone betrays you, it’s a blessing. Imagine going through life not knowing that someone had bad intention towards you. It’s the Almighty’s way of exposing them. Be grateful and move on. It won’t be easy but remember it could have been worse!” Popcaan shared in an Instagram post today.

Shortly after, Jafrass seemingly responded to Popcaan’s note on betrayal.

“The man see me an a try diss me an it nah work, now [he] a play victim,” the deejay wrote in another Instagram Story post today.

Jafrass continued, “Breda stop drink if yuh yah manage rum cause me never disss yuh yet and the world know that.  So nah talk bout BETRAY cause a that a your nick name.”

In recent years, Popcaan has fallen out or engaged in feuds with several artists in the industry, including producer NotNice, Alkaline, and Black Ryno.

Just recently in January, he had a heated exchange with Dancehall deejay Versi, a former Unruly Camp member, who claimed to have helped to build the brand.  Popcaan refuted the claim and accused Versi of being envious of his success.

Also in January, the 876Gad triggered responses from Unruly Cuz and music producer Petro, after he blatantly dissed them during a performance in The Gambia.
