Dancehall star Popcaan blatantly dissed former associates, his cousin and artist ‘Unruly Cuz’ and producer ‘Petro Unruly’, during a performance in The Gambia over the weekend.  Both Cuz and Petro, who recently removed ‘unruly’ from their Instagram names, have since responded to the attack with choice words of their own.

In what turned out to be a historic night in the West African country, Popcaan sold out the Bakau Independence Stadium in Banjul on Saturday night.  However, while performing his song Inviolable, the 876Gad flipped some of the lyrics in the song to unequivocally diss his two former allies, who had been favorably mentioned in the original track.

“Petro and Cuz gwan check off a mil’…(US that!)” were the original lyrics, but Popcaan instead switched it up to “Petro and Cuz suck your modda still!”

Produced by Markus Records in 2018, Inviolable found Popcaan boasting about his and Unruly’s winning streak, claiming that the camp is unbreakable: “Unruly we naa fail.”

He then called on his cronies Cuz and Petro to count up his millions.

Petro, whose real name is Kamar Petrekin, was first to respond to the Unruly Boss, by questioning why he went all the way to Africa to call his name.

“Suh far u gone wid man pon yo mind?  U a muss fish,” he wrote in an Instagram Story post with several laughing emojis.

In another post, he added: “Attention poppyshow a look (clown emoji) #SuckBakUMumma big pu#%y”

Petro is a producer having worked on tracks like Gimmi Love (2019) with Popcaan and Quada’s Buff (2021).  Over the years, he’s had several favorable mentions in Popcaan’s songs such as Silence (2019), Weed Head (2012), High All Day (2016), and One Ting Alone (2019).

Meanwhile, in his reply, Cuz called out Popcaan for telling lies in the original track.

“Pu$$i a data u say guh suck out back yu mada, battybwoy,” Cuz wrote in an Instagram story yesterday. “An moreover u neva gi we a mil yet suh stop tell lie inna song.”

“Suck pu$$y Popcaan an stop falla mi up badmind bwoy,” he added.

Cuz – now called Badcuz — was previously hailed in the tracks Have It (2020), Silence (2019), Firm and Strong (2019), and Smoked Out with Bakersteez (2020).   He and Popcaan also collaborated on the songs Millions (2019) and Watch Ya (2020), a song off Popcaan’s Fixtape mixtape that also features Furnace and Shev.

Last year July, music fans were caught off guard when allegations surfaced that Popcaan and Unruly Cuz had an altercation at an event in their hometown of Sunning Hill in St. Thomas. According to several reports at the time, Unruly Cuz punched Popcaan in the face but the Unruly Boss refuted the claim on Twitter.

Two weeks ago, Popcaan blasted Versi — another former Unruly associate — who claimed he had helped to establish the Unruly brand.  The Unruly Boss took umbrage to the claims with some unflattering comments regarding Versi’s mother, while Versi responded with a diss track.
