Popcaan Questions ‘Lick,’ Shenseea Responds “Stop Gwaan Like U Nuh Dweet”
It was just a matter of time before the ‘Unruly Boss’ Popcaan caught on to the latest controversy in Dancehall music. Ever since Shenseea dropped her saucy new collab, Lick with Megan Thee Stallion yesterday morning, social media has been buzzing non-stop.
The Firm and Strong deejay, who was apparently displeased with the song’s content, took to social media and headed straight to Shenseea’s page to ask her “Yyyyyyyyyy” — one of his many catchphrases.
But instead of answering the 876 Gad, Shenseea clapped back with an accusation. “@popcaanmusic stop gwaan like u nuh dweet 😒,” She replied.
The exchange happened in the comments of a post the Shenyeng Princess made promoting Lick and her upcoming album, Alpha.
To preserve the faith of his Unruly fans and Jamaican reputation, Popcaan quickly retorted, “@shenseea dont mix me up wid yo Indian manager!!!!” in reference to Romeich Major.
However, it wasn’t that long ago that he too, (like Shenseea) was getting “freaky” with Megan Thee Stallion. In their 2020 collaboration Intercourse, Megan told the Unruly Boss, “You ain’t gotta sugarcoat shit ‘less you’re lickin’ on me,” and “I’m tryna do some really freaky sh-t only we know …Treat my body like some oxtails, lick your fingers.”
Though in his defense, Poppy never fell under her temptation.
Meanwhile, Romeich himself joined the conversation to not only reiterate what the Blessed singer had implied, but also reveal himself as a tutor of certain “unruly” sexual practices and that Popcaan was his former student.
“@popcaanmusic 😂😂 yes she know cause memba a me teach you #theunrulyway,” Romeich wrote.
The exchange was all it took to let the Unruly fans loose. “@romeichentertainment Bbbc Caaaaa Diss Poppy Soo Dawg @popcaanmusic Weh Dem Gu Do Ya Now 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂,” said one irate follower (pimps_records).
Romeich, knowing exactly what he had done, responded to the user to say,
“@pimps_records 😂😂😂 killy killy ago get crazy 😂😂.”
Another person, (shanadabrown) remarked, “@romeichentertainment wa kinda style thing brother 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 romeich gimmi u phone.”
And another (shalahogechi) snapped, “@romeichentertainment you ain’t teach popcaan nuin 😂.”
Others couldn’t get past Romeich’s self-professed title.
