Vybz Kartel Shows Off Christmas Photos With New Grandson
Dancehall titan Vybz Kartel has updated his GAZA Nation with new family photos over the holiday season.
This year, Kartel’s son Likkle Vybz celebrated his first Christmas as a new father and posted what looked like a very merry occasion on Instagram. Posing in matching red pjs with his girlfriend and new baby, Likkle Vybz wrote, “Happy holidays 🎄🎁❤️ #dancehallroyalty everyday is Christmas (@vybzkartel voice).”
The Worl’ Boss later re-shared the post with his 1.8 million IG followers – “Happy Holidays from me Son Daughter in Law & Grandson 🎊🎉 🎀🎁🌲🎁🎀🎉🎊”
As expected, the update from Dancehall’s ‘first family’ came with well wishes from a score of industry colleagues, such as Bobby Konders, Jesse Royal, DJ Lava, Savage Savo and several others.
Of course the GAZA matriarch and new grandmother, Tanesha ‘Shorty’ Johnson was spotted in the comments. She wrote, “Family love ❤️❤️❤️❤️”, while Likkle Addi, simply commented, “Neph”.
Likkle Vybz, 18, celebrated the birth of his son this year, first revealing back in August that he and his girlfriend were expecting. His younger brother Likkle Addi, 16, also became a father the year prior.
Likkle Addi on the other hand hasn’t been as forthcoming with any family photo updates.
The two GAZA prodigies, who form the music duo UTG, recently made headlines for their induction on Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online’s new expansion – The Contract. UTG’s 2019 single Skinny Jeans was added to the updated 76-track playlist along with fellow Dancehall compatriot and Kartel’s former protégé, Popcaan with his single Body So Good.
Last month Likkle Vybz made his first stage appearance in Birmingham, London at the Ladbrooke Hotel during the Island Vibes Tour.
Likkle Vybz is best known for his singles Daily, Summer, Miss World Renowned, Give Thanks and Fresh Pair. Under UTG with Likkle Addi he appears on the tracks Hear Dem, Skinny Jeans, and Right Now.
He teamed up with his father on the track Daddy Was A Pilot last October. Prior, they also recorded the singles Yea You, Fully Gaza, Magneato, The Law featuring Likkle Addi and Jump On The Beat featuring Squash.
The young artist was reported to have assumed the role as CEO of Adidjahiem Records, his father’s Portmore Empire music label.
