Dexta Daps Calls Busta Rhymes The G.O.A.T. Amid Search For Worthy Verzuz Opponent
Dancehall crooner Dexta Daps once again has the internet buzzing, after he made the bold declaration that Busta Rhymes was the ‘greatest rapper ever’.
The Bring It To the Owner singer made the statement about the American rapper via his Instagram today, on the heels of Busta’s impromptu appearance at the Verzuz ICONZ event over the weekend, which was headlined by Super Cat and included performances from Dexta, Kranium, Konshens, Barrington Levy, and more.
After performing Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See, Busta declared “find me a worthy Verzuz opponent,” as he exited the stage. Dexta’s G.O.A.T declaration also follows recent reports that five rappers have declined the chance to go up against Busta in the popular Verzuz clash series.
“There is no worthy opponent yuh👂…🤦♂️,” Dexta Daps wrote today, along with a photo of himself and the Touch It rapper. “So many arguments abt who is the greatest rapper everrrr… C him ya @bustarhymes 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿.”
“N mi nah tek bak mi chattttt…1👑👑👑 Now start d argument if unu wah😠,” he added, indicating that it was not up for debate.

Endorsing Daps’ message was Bruk Off Yuh Back singer Konshens, who implied that Rhymes’ closest competition was recently deceased rapper, DMX.
“Di only one weh walk near him onstage just passed away. Nobody cyaa C him no argument nuh inna it. Fullstop,” Konshens wrote in a comment.
Meanwhile, Spliff Star—Rhymes’ longtime hype man—also showed his approval, commenting a simple ‘Yes’ with fire emoji under the post.
Earlier this week, American B-boy dance icon, Crazy Legs, said that Rhymes told him that five rappers have already turned down offers to battle him on Verzuz, according to HipHopDX.
Crazy Legs, who caught up with Rhymes during the recent Verzuz battle between rap icons KRS One and Big Daddy Kane, posted on his Instagram, “I had to let Busta Rhymes know that no one is worthy enough to battle him. Then he told me that 5 people already turned it down. Some things are just what they are. He has the unfortunate pleasure of being a god in the rap game ….”

Recently, Rhymes reminded everyone of his rap emperor status when he stamped his class on the MTV Video Music Awards, giving an unforgettable performance of several of his hits. Rhymes, with Spliff Starr by his side (as usual), brought the VMA crowd to their feet the entire performance, a common occurrence whenever he touches a stage.
