Rap Queen Nicki Minaj went ‘Vintage Dancehall’ in her latest style share on Instagram over the weekend.  She rocked a slick black latex jumpsuit with a corset belt and safety pin pumps and even gave viewers a little wining to the tune of Dancehall singer Pamputtae’s 2016 single, Da Wine Ya that was featured on the Tropical Punch Riddim.

In a series of four slides, the Bang Bang rapper was looking fierce as ever striking up several poses that were evidently inspired by Dancehall’s style and culture. She wrote in the caption, “The vintage dancehall stank face & slow whine ummm chile if glam not hyping u up like this at 4 in the mornin then 🤪🙃 😂🩰 dancing to @pamputtae 💞💞💞.”

“Swipe for a surprise,” she also wrote to show off her ‘cool and deadly’ wining skills to Pamputtae’s Dancehall track.

The utterly sleek look came complete with a few key pieces, courtesy to a wide Savage x Fenty Cincher corset belt with a front zipper, a Versace Safety Pin Patent Pumps, her signature bling, including numerous sparkly rings, anklets, hoop earrings, and bracelets paired with an icy “Chun-Li,” nameplate necklace inspired by the Capcom’s Street Fighter video game character and Minaj’s 2018 hit song of the same name.

Nicki’s braided half-pony updo with curly tresses was unmistakably inspired by Venessa Bell Calloway’s character, Imani in the 1998 blockbuster movie Coming To America to also take on a vintage quintessence.

The Queen of Rap scored major compliments from the Dancehall fraternity. Pamputtae for one didn’t miss a beat to gush her thanks to the Anaconda rapper for repping her song, which was produced by Demarco.

“Watch di queen @nickiminaj a dance to mi song weh @demarcodadon produce ❤️❤️❤️❤️love u mi gal ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” she commented on Nicki’s post.

Nicki responded, “@pamputtae big up yourself. I love this song!!! Mek me ah tag yuh.”

The Queen of Dancehall Spice also dropped some fire emojis on Nicki’s vintage dancehall-style post. Others like Lisa Mercedez and celebrity dancer’s, Dancing Rebel and Pretty Pretty, who Nicki recently started following on Instagram also showed the rapper love.

Some fans speculate that the Beam Me Up Scotty artist may look to Dancehall style and culture to inspire her next era of music.
