Dancehall star Squash has been called out by Instagram detectives FakeWatchBusters for wearing an allegedly fake Richard Mille watch in his latest posts on the platform.

In Instagram posts yesterday, the Scotch & Soda deejay showed off a series of photos where he donned an opulent ensemble of matching Gucci gear, supersized diamond-encrusted bling, and last but not least a limited edition Richard Mille RM035 Americas ‘Gold Toro’ timepiece.

Just recently, rapper Jay-Z showed off an extremely rare Richard Mille piece that’s valued at US$3 million, according to Complex.  If Squash’s RM035 ‘Gold Toro’ model is authentic, it would have run the Dancehall deejay anywhere between US$570k and US$600k.

A replica of the Swiss brand, on the other hand, can cost about US$700 or even less.

According to FakeWatchBuster, the 6ix Boss’ Richard Mille watch has not one or two telltale inconsistencies but a whole list of fake characteristics.

They enlighten their 41.3k followers on what those were: “Wrong shape of the case, wrong crow shape, the bezel screws are too big, the font used for the RM logo, etc, is too thin, the strap screws are too near each other, wrong shape of the hour/minute markers and wrong shape of the skeleton mechanism”.

The IG watch vigilante, who typically targets rappers, athletes, reality stars, and even politicians who wear replicated goods, went to the extent of displaying a comparison photo of a real vs. Squash’s alleged fake RM035 model to point out each flaw.  They also highlighted a key red flag with all replicated versions, which all have the same phony serial number – 201214.

FakeWatchBuster boldly called out the Dancehall star for flaunting a fake timepiece, tagging him in their post, and wrote, “@squash6iixboss you’re wearing a fake Richard Mille RM035 Americas Gold Toro 🕵🏼‍♂️⌚❌.”

They continued, “A genuine RM035 Gold Toro worth approx 570-600k USD and it’s limited to only 50 pieces worldwide. Called “Americas” because it was available only through Richard Mille boutiques of the Americas 🌎⌚” along with a disclaimer to state that they are not a “hate page” but are rather on a crusade to identify fake watches.

The Moon Walk artist seemingly caught wind of the accusation and again confidently shared more photos of his Richard Mille watch and other shots of himself laughing while looking at his phone.

In one photo, he even covered the timepiece with his hand while closing his eyes as if deciding to stay mute about the matter.

His caption, however, said all he needed to say, “👌🏽💯.”

From the looks of it, Squash apparently finds the claims wildly hilarious but no more than his fans.

“😂😂weh Dem knw bout dat….6 real never fake …a jus a bagga mouth tlk,” said one IG follower.

Another added, “When dem say the Richard mille fake😂😂😂😂 6ix boss affi buss a laugh😂😂.”

Others chimed in to say, “Laugh offa Dem squash don 😂🔥,” “Gad A Laugh Offa The Hater’s Dem😂6️⃣” and “Bout the singer poor 🔥🔥🔥.”

Squash, born Andrae Whittaker who is originally from Montego Bay, Jamaica has been battling rumors of late, alleging that he has gone broke. In proving his critics wrong, the Dancehall deejay has defended the claims through music in songs like Still A Roam, 1Up, Nuff Time, and Rate Who Rate You.

On Instagram, he often keeps his fans up to date on his rich lifestyle.
