Dancehall artist Sean Paul says American pop singer Beyoncé owes him a solid, so he may ask her to collaborate with him on another song.

It’s been over 18 years since their massive hit Baby Boy, now Paul is saying it “would be cool” to team up with Bee once again. Today he interviewed with ET Canada, where he was posed the quesiton but Sean actually revealed it wasn’t that far-fetched.

Another link up with these two would be absolutely mind-blowing especially with the epic success of their duo in 2003, and Paul said it would just take a simple ‘ask’ on his part.

“The first time it was her asking me so maybe I should ask her now,” he said pretty casually.

The Get Busy singer admitted, during a Jamaican radio interview earlier this year, that it was “apparent” that Beyoncé’s husband, Jay Z, wasn’t all that crazy about him hanging around his wife during their 2003 Baby Boy collab.

Sean Paul later tried to walk back the radio comments and claimed they were taken out of context.  “There were weird things that happened on stage with our performance, with the video. I know a headline said that, ‘Oh, Jay-Z didn’t want me there.’ It had nothing to do with him as far as I’m concerned,” he sought to explain to HotNewHipHop.

Beyoncé and Sean’s previous team-up on Baby Boy went on to top the US Billboard Hot 100 chart for nine consecutive weeks after its release.

It was Beyoncé’s longest-running number-one single until 2007 when it was surpassed by Irreplaceable. It reached the top ten in many countries and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Paul recently released his 7th studio album Live N Livin earlier this year in March and he’s expected to drop another in the coming months, dubbed Scorcha, to feature some international celebs, namely Gwen Stefani and Sia among several other local acts including Shenseea, Jada Kingdom, and Stylo G.
