Dancehall star Skillibeng was spotted rubbing shoulders with Love & Hip Hop star Alexis Skyy over the weekend, but the festivities took a pause when the deejay was forced to address highly exaggerated reports of his death.

On Monday evening, “Skilli” was trending No. 1 on Twitter in Jamaica as concerned fans wondered “What happen to Skilli?” and “Is this skilli” on reposts of a viral 30-second clip of a motorcycle crash.  The unfortunate clip was captioned “bbc skilli”, leaving fans to think it was the East Syde Records starboy, who is also a known motorcycle enthusiast.

The 24-year-old St Thomas native quickly hopped onto Instagram Live to address the originator of the video, where over 10,000 concerned fans had tuned in. Slightly amused, Skillibeng urged them to “take down that video deh and go suck yuh mumma”.

“The first somebody weh send out that video deh, cah dem nah know if ah me and a talk bout ah mi,” he said.

“The p–sy dem wan me dead, ino,” he added.  We can only assume they’ve upgraded from being afraid of his Energy.

The popular artist has been mixing work and play and was spotted earlier yesterday on a music video shoot for an unreleased track.

And over the weekend, Skilli was also spotted at Tropical Bliss in Montego Bay rubbing shoulders with VH1’s Love & Hip Hop reality star Alexis Skyy, who is of Jamaican descent.

According to Marie Claire, Alexis comes from a “strict Caribbean background” and she’s been linked with No Days Off rapper Fetty Wap and Rob Kardashian.  Skyy, 26, just recently confirmed that Fetty was not the father of her child, per HOT97.

Meanwhile, some fans on Monday were lamenting the seriousness of the fake death reports.

“Unnuh know seh Skilli is an actual person with family and friends right?” said one person, while another added, “bro why would u post sumn like that and say it’s skilli and yk is not him.”

But once the Coke deejay confirmed that was he was safe and sound, the jokes started rolling in.

“Lol guess this is wat they were talking about wen they said skilli fell off,” sniped one user, in reference to Skillibeng’s more recent and numerous releases that, according to some fans, have fallen short of 2020 hits like Mr. Universe and Brik Pan Brik.

BTW. Here’s Alexis vibing to Skilli’s breakout hit, a few months ago.
