Skip Marley’s ‘Higher Place’ EP No. 1 On Billboard Ahead Of Grammys

Skip Marley’s debut EP Higher Place came in at number one on the US Current Reggae Albums chart. The album is up for the Best Reggae Album at this year’s Grammy Awards on March 14. 

The young Marley copped the top position after 101 copies of the album sold last week. It has now sold 2878 copies in total. It remains at number eight on the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart where it debuted at number two. 

Look for The Good by Jason Mraz came in at two, jumping seven spots while Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica: The Reggae Collector’s Edition is at number three. Coming in at number four is another Marley production, Live at The Rainbow, 4th June 1977 by Bob Marley and The Wailers. The House That Bradley Built, is at six, while Buju Banton’s Upside Down 2020 jumps to number seven.

On the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart, Bob Marley and The Wailers come in at number one for the 60th consecutive week with the Legend.

Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection by Shaggy is at number two, and Dutty Classics Collection by Sean Paul is at number three. Popcaan’s Fixtape is number 10 on that chart.

On to the YouTube Music Charts for Jamaica, over the last 30 days, where Skillibeng is at No. 1 with 8.7M views. Following him is Vybz Kartel with 5.62M views and Alkaline rounds off the top three with 4.36M views.

Chronic Law is in fourth place with 3.9M views and TeeJay is close behind him in fifth place with 3.64M views.

On the same charts, over the last 7 days, the most viewed song in Jamaica was Frenz by Spice. In second place was Virgin by Jah Vinci and coming in third was Coke by Skillibeng.
