Reggae revivalist Jesse Royal and his TV host girlfriend Kandi King welcomed the birth of their baby girl last month on January 4.

King finally introduced the world to baby Korus aka Koko yesterday via Instagram with a few photos and a mini video showing followers that baby, mom, and dad are doing A-Okay.

Along with the IG share, King wrote: “If you’re wondering how she is— the answer is calm, easy and not fussy (most days). If you’re wondering how I am— the answer is overwhelmed but happy and fulfilled ❤️ If you’re wondering how @jesseroyal1 is– supportive beyond measure. Feeling really blessed and grateful 🥰”

Naturally, the congratulatory comments flooded in after but none more eye-catching than dad’s, Jesse replied, “What a wayyy she Kute like her Father!!! 😂 Love Unuh Bad!!!”

However many were urged to counter what they thought was his delusion. “She looks nothing like you 😂😂” said one follower, another added, “Wah? She cute like he mom you mean 😂😂.”

Others to chime in were some of Jesse’s industry colleagues such as Wayne Marshall, Tami Chin, and Tifa, plus a few local celebs like model Kaci Fennel, TV personality Terri Karelle and girlfriend of Usain Bolt, Kasi Bennett to name a few.

Baby Koko is the celebrity couple’s first child together. Royale on the other hand has another daughter, Yali who was born in 2016 from a previous relationship.

For Kandi, even though she revealed that giving birth was no walk in the park, is likely happy to leave those horrible pregnancy symptoms behind and is now over the moon for being a first-time mom.

The two revealed in an interview last November that while the pandemic couldn’t have arrived at the worst time, they however bonded deeply during the pregnancy, “Bonding over the pregnancy, obviously, we bond in other ways but it’s so magical to bond over the pregnancy, her movements and stuff like that. Recently we’ve enjoyed that aspect of it.”

The Modern Day Judas singer is also godfather to Jahvillani and Leah Tavares-Finson’s son.
