A mix of Dancehall and Reggae is what artist Rad Dixon hopes will land him his first big hit and take his career mainstream.

Dixon’s new single Missing You, a merger of the two genres, is a universal salute to departed loved ones.

Produced by DJ Treasure Music and Tasjay Productions Missing You according to Dixon highlights the feelings of losing a friend or loved one and remembering the times spent with that person; a feeling so many can relate to in light of the COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed thousands of lives.

“This is even more potent during this worldwide Covid-19 crisis, and it is very real to me personally as well because I lost my best friend in a tragic car accident recently,” said Dixon.

“Everyone can relate to this track because they either experienced this loss themselves or are close to someone who has, losing someone is a part of real life and that why I felt connected to writing about it,” he added

The Florida based artiste says he is hoping that this single will catapult him into the mainstream and boost his budding career.

According to Dixon, working with a new label, Tasjay Productions, he has been seeing great strides with his new material irrespective of the challenges of the global pandemic.

Recent tracks released by Rad Dixon include ‘Keep The Children Safe’ on the Outta Jamaica Riddim project released last year and a cover of Kenny Rodgers’ “Write Your Name” single released on Friday January 29, 2021.

The Manchester-born artiste is also completing his album for release later this year.

In 2019, Dixon released “Welcome”; a subsequent reggae mixtape used to promote the album featured Tarrus Riley and Romaine Virgo, which generated over a million views on YouTube.

Prior to taking the leap into full time artistry, Dixon’s sultry ballads resonated with audiences on the live music and Hotel Cabaret scene.
