Krystal Tomlinson Finds Solace From Twitter Trolls After Beenie Man Split

Krystal Tomlinson, the now ex-partner of Dancehall titan Beenie Man is certainly having her fair share of jabs being thrown at her on social media. After the Girls Dem Sugar deejay and the Peoples National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) president publicly confirmed their breakup yesterday, the Twitter bugs came out in trolling mode but Krystal seemed to enjoy it.

“I never thought I’d say this but: Twitter is helping me to find a little laughter and light heartedness through this,” she tweeted after apparently seeing all the funny memes and comments that appeared on Twitter following the breakup announcement.

Another tweet from Tomlinson read, “Twitter is really a whole other universe but y’all drag me so often I travel with knee/elbow pads. How unnu find that tweet?” she wrote in response to Twitter users who dug up one of her very old tweets, which had called out Beenie Man for his disregard for Shabba Ranks during an interview.

The tweet was sent in 2012, way before she met Beenie, but she joined the jokes at her own expense, and added, “The Wickedest Slam cleared up this misunderstanding real quick,” to rid any thoughts that there was any bad blood between herself and Beenie while bossing up the Dancehall star.

After Beenie Man revealed their breakup today, Krystal also went on Instagram to make it clear that she still has love for the father of her only child, Xiah, writing that “this chapter on love, written with love, is closed.”

It appears Krystal and Beenie have been separated for some time now. In October of last year, rumors had started going around that there was trouble in paradise. Krystal was oddly missing from a few major events in Beenie’s life, namely his mother’s funeral where he fainted, and when he was summoned and charged by the St. Elizabeth police for breaching the COVID-19 protocols. The latter in particular left fans querying her whereabouts. It was then Krystal had revealed to her IG followers that she was overseas where she had spent Christmas.

Evidently, Krystal is in a good place as it stands currently, while many found out about the heartbreaking news today, she has been on a journey of healing spanning a couple of months now, she is ‘clear, certain and centered,’ and has evidently grown a thick skin.

The jabs online continued to great heights as the trolls have done quite a bit of digging.

Along with resurrecting old tweets from Krystal, this entire ordeal has also revealed that Krystal was a video vixen in one of Vybz Kartel’s old music videos – a clip with cameos of a younger Krystal popped-up from the single, Straight Jeans and Fitted.

Of course, Beenie’s breakup video has many associating him with his iconic Old Dog status made popular from his 1996 hit single.

The deejay also endured some backlash with the way he announced the split, especially from the female fans that found him distasteful and discourteous.
