The Unruly Boss is set to own Heroes Weekend with two international debuts including the Nobody’s Love Remix with Maroon 5.

The global pop sensation as well as Popcaan confirmed the exciting news on their IG accounts today ahead of the Friday premiere.

This latest single adds to the growing list of impressive assists in Popcaan’s catalogue including UK synth rockers, Gorillaz and French Montana. The remix drops just three months after the original, a slinky, layered track inspired by the surreal state of the world and reactions to racial injustice.

Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine is no stranger to the staggering level of talent found on Jamaican shores, and was blown away while coaching Tessane Chin’s NBC’s The Voice. The band also previously dabbled in reggae, with a bouncy cover of Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, which was used in Hyundai’s campaign for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The Popcaan remix promises infectious genre-fusing goodness and at least both artists already agree on one major issue – the legalization of marijuana. The video for Nobody’s Love features Levine sans band but with plenty of weed for him to roll and spark up before the song ends.

Viewed nearly 20 million times, the visuals close with the message, “It’s time to end the War on Marijuana [which] has failed to reduce marijuana use and availability and diverted resources that could be better invested in our communities.”

Popcaan also joins forces with OVO cohort Preme for their Link Up EP, also out this weekend. A teaser track, Comfortable, premiered last Friday showing off his rare singjay flair which could become a mainstay as his cadence and appeal continue to soar.

On that note, his song TWIST & TURN featuring Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR, off his FIXTAPE album, cracked the Billboard Rhythmic Songs urban chart and now sits at #38. His last entry on any American mainstream chart was 2015’s I Know There’s Gonna Be (Good Times) with Jamie XX and Young Thug.
