Popcaan, Preme Drop Dancehall-Inspired Track With Davido Ahead Of Their ‘Link Up’ EP

Ahead of their weekend Link Up EP, OVO affiliates Popcaan and Preme are teasing fans with their new single Comfortable.

Due out this Friday (October 16), the duo’s joint album promises exciting fusions from the Toronto-based team, who also collaborated on MURDA from Popcaan’s FIXTAPE.

Recruiting Afrobeats heavyweight Davido, the sultry, infectious bop is just as likely to lead you out on the dancefloor as it will leave you in your feelings. The creative animated visuals also premiered along with the track last Friday and gave an exciting glimpse at the upcoming record. 

The trio spits sensual bars over the balmy beat produced by Jaegen, the mastermind behind French Montana and Swae Lee’s Unforgettable. Both Preme and the Unruly Boss deliver the track’s catchy chorus, “You just wanna love me/ You just wanna touch me/ You make me feel comfortable/ Never leave me lonely” before Preme’s provocative lines, “We drunk and in love, nеver lonely/ We drunk in this club, dancin’ off bеat/ I’ve been on road, grindin’ all week/ When I get home, you’re grindin’ on me”.

Davido, who’s worked with Popcaan many times before on Risky, Dun Rich and My Story, was also heard flexing with some flashy lines. “What about all the designers that we bought?/ What about the brand new whips in the lot?/ Baby girl I know that I’ve hurt you enough/ But I promise to change if you stay with the boy”. 

Popcaan is steadily racking up clout on the international front and needless to say, his following feels it’s a good look. As the countdown to the Link Up debut continues, fans have showed out with favourable responses to the new collaboration such as “Versatile mi g” and “Another 1 international hot collab my g grammy is a must”.
