Dancehall artiste Deep Jahi has cited the new social gathering rules, which permit no more than ten persons to be in an area at a particular time, as the inspiration behind his latest track Private Party.

The pandemic conscious tune, featured on the Gold Leaf riddim, speaks to the new emerging trend of super exclusive parties which permits only listed guests entry and plenty of intimate (private)action.

“The whole vibe with the COVID-19 kinda have the place under lock down, so the only way to have a nice little time is to keep a private party where a selected few are invited. Hence the idea for the song,” Deep Jahi explained.

Deep Jahi went on to share that he teamed up with Jerome Elvie of Natural Bond Entertainment to produce the tune, which he expects to put fans in a mood that will help them adjust to their current situation.

The artiste shared that immediately upon hearing the Gold Leaf riddim he knew that it was ideal for the song, further adding that working with Elvie created a synergy that helped to really mould the song and subsequent visuals

“The energy flowed naturally between me and the production team because Studio Vibes connect the link the realest way with Natural Bond Entertainment and myself. The project is doing well and Private Party was among the top ten trending songs in the island on YouTube up to recently,” added Deep Jahi.

Deep Jahi has already dropped visuals for the song which features social media comedian Nitro and gives fans an eyeful as to what he really means by private party showcasing that recording devices and phones are not welcomed at such events.

Born Rushane Sanderson, Deep Jahi is a former student of the St Mary High School and Moneague College, he began his music career using the moniker Decoy.

The rural St Mary native rose to fame when he won the Magnum King of the Dancehall competition in 2012.

Two years later, he entered and won the Jamaica Festival Song competition with the song, “I Love JA”.
