Producer Jerome Elvie is promising reigning hits on his upcoming Gold Leaf riddim project, to be released by his Natural Bond Entertainment label by September 11. The project boasts a blend of acts including I-Octane, Masicka, TeeJay, Jahvillani, New Kidz and Deep Jahi. African artiste Buffalo Souljah is also rostered in a collaboration with Starface, and new acts Lybran (Rum Boss) and Deeclef are also on the line-up.

Speaking to DancehallMag, Elvie said the riddim name was inspired by the pristine quality music enthusiasts can expect to hear, and also its predicted reach.

“With the riddim having different acts that does different styles of music and different age groups, I wanted it to be able to reach people from all walks of life and I think I was able to achieve that with this production,” he said. “I’ll have songs on the juggling where everybody will have something from there in their playlist. My confidence comes from experience and being a music consumer. I must say from what I hear and what I’m about to do as far as pushing the music and the quality that I’m pushing out that these acts come with. On my production if a artiste voice and I’m not satisfied with the material or content, I won’t put the music out… I’m mindful of what I put out there and that’s where the confidence comes from.”

The Gold Leaf riddim marks the label’s first solo Jamaican production, but Elvie said he has been producing for several rappers and RnB artistes in the United States including Trouble and Zuse. He hopes to gain local acclaim upon its release.

“I hope it will help to solidify myself in the music industry as one of the top producers there because there’s a lot more to come, lot more great ideas, lot more great rhythms, lot more great singles on its way and I’m working with some great acts as well,” he said. “I think the collaboration with Buffalo Souljah and Starface (Family) will definitely have people reflecting in their lives. There’s so music on this rhythm that will inspire, will uplift and have people feeling alive again.”

Natural Bond Entertainment is fairly young but has already found success with the June release of Beenie Man‘s Do You Want To Be That Guy. The track was featured on the Porus rhythm, co-produced by Sponge Music, which also hosted tracks from acts like I-Octane, Jahmiel, and Shane E.

Elvie is hoping to release an EP with New Kidz and said more music with upcoming acts like Miguel Wealthy and Lybran are underway.

“I think New Kidz, although he’s one of the seasoned veterans, has a whole lot left in the tank and I’m going to bring that out of him so I’m doing some work with him, new acts and old.”
