One half of the dancehall duo RDX has denied allegations swirling that the team of two had split.

Deejay ReniGAD, formerly Renigade of RDX, said he felt compelled to “clear the air” particularly with the upcoming release of visuals for his latest track Block Party.

While acknowledging that both himself and Delomar had in recent times been working on their solo careers, he vehemently denied that the duo had split.

According to ReniGAD, he believes that there are certain songs that the RDX brand isn’t expected to deliver and so solo projects allow both artistes to express individuality.

“The RDX brand mostly known fi girls and high energy songs. But within RDX you have ReniGad & Delomar, two individuals wid different ideas and stories fi tell’ ReniGAD explained.

This need to express greater individuality, ReniGAD explained was part of the motivation for his latest single which speaks to the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way how people will party.

ReniGAD believes Block Party speaks to the kind of small parring that will become the new norm.

“As ReniGAD mi can sing bout any topic mi want, Block Party is about how we do we ting pon we grung inna real life. Plus mi can spit some hard lyrics and flow mi couldn’t before. Its just a different energy,” ReniGAD said.

“People need fi party so all dem need is a quart a supm and a bluetooth box and boops… block party,” he added.

ReniGAD added that he is already happy with the content of his new solo material and is preparing to add visuals to the Block Party single.

ReniGAD also used the occasion to share that the duo under the RDX brand would be releasing new material shortly.
