Brothers Yohan and Jo Mersa Marley, grandsons of the legendary Bob Marley, have teamed up for a brand new release dubbed Brickell (When Tears Fall), inspired by the chic cosmopolitan South Miami city.

The single official debuted on September 3 via Ghetto Youth International (The Marley family-owned record label) and produced by Karloff and is now available on all major streaming platforms.

The new track pulsates an ultramodern R&B and pop-infused rhythm to support the rich cultured vocals from these two new-gen Reggae sensations. The lyrics transcend a vibe of love in the city at nighttime under the glimmering lights and busy streets.

In an interview with The Voice, Yohan described the moment he was inclined to make the track, saying, “This song came to me late one night looking out over Downtown Miami and the Brickell area. The lights, the water, the people, the energy, the culture…I was soaking it all in on a balcony high above and the inspiration came.”

He continued, “Always a joy to make music with my brother Joseph, the first of many I’m releasing to the world.” This is not the first time however that the two brothers have collaborated. They released a track prior in 2016 entitled Burn It Down, which has done exceptionally well, locking in more than 1.7 million views on YouTube alone.

There is no doubt Yohan and Jo Mersa have music running through their bloodline, yet they have distinguished themselves as the future of Reggae with a unique sound and style. Born to Stephen “Ragga” Marley, a former member of the Melody Makers with his siblings Ziggy, Sharon, and Cedella Marley, the two brothers have been surrounded by music all their life and it certainly shows.
