Stephen Marley, born 20 April 1972 in Wilmington, Delaware, and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, is a Jamaican-American reggae singer, musician, and record producer. He is the second son of Bob Marley and Rita Marley. He began performing professionally at age 7 as part of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers with his siblings. He played instruments and wrote songs for the group, and earned the nickname “Raggamuffin” as the first Marley to do dancehall-style toasting.

He became a leading producer in the family. He produced his younger brother Damian’s albums, including Halfway Tree and Welcome to Jamrock, and in 1999 produced Chant Down Babylon, a remix album of Bob Marley’s music with hip-hop, R&B, and rock artists. He later released his own solo albums: Mind Control (2007), Mind Control Acoustic (2008), Revelation Pt. 1 – The Root of Life (2011), Revelation Pt. 2 – The Fruit of Life (2016), and Old Soul (2023). He plays many of the instruments on his records himself, and all of his first four solo albums reached No. 1 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.
