Chief Keef’s Baby Mama Says Popcaan Refused Her, Podcast Host Calls Him A “Canadian Rapper”

First off, Dancehall artiste Popcaan is not a Canadian rapper, despite what you may have heard on seedy podcasts.
Jamaican Twitter users have been dragging the hosts, and guest of an episode of a YouTube podcast dubbed Thots Next Door on the No Jumper channel after they mischaracterized Jamaican superstar and OVO signee Popcaan as a Canadian rapper and called him out for refusing an advance.
It was during the podcast uploaded on Tuesday where host Aliza made the controversial remark drawing the ire of a number of Jamaicans and others.
The comment was made after guest and adult actress, Slim Danger, indicated that she tried to get with the Unruly Boss after going down a list of American rappers she’s been with, which include but are not limited to YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Tekashi 6ix9ine, and Chief Keef (with whom she shares a child).

The brief discussion on Popcaan started after Aliza asked Danger to tell her more about her “habits.” Co-host Celina asked “Who the f—k is Popcaan” and that’s when fellow host Aliza declared that, “He’s a Canadian rapper”.
Celina then replied, “so he’s like Drake, isn’t he signed to OVO”.
Slim Danger then chimed in to call out Popcaan for his apparent lack of interest in her.
“You played trying like you was going with the other b_tch, and you know want this squ_rt p___y,” she said in a rant that seemed directed at the FIXTAPE hitmaker for dodging her.
They then went onto discuss whether Popcaan had a girlfriend or not but agreed it would not have made a difference.
Popcaan was rumored to have split with his long time Trinidadian girlfriend Kavell Keir after they unfollowed each other on Instagram in January, but Keir publicly reached out to Popcaan on his birthday in July.

The entire segment has not gone down well with the Jamaican collective on Twitter.

Team Upsetta was similarly critical writing “What’s worse? Calling Popcaan a Canadian rapper? Not knowing who Popcaan is at all? Looking like these 3 chicks and still having the nerve to talk badly about others?”

A1 Breat Control found some comedy in its by insinuating, “Since Popcaan is a Canadian rapper, I guess Kartel is a European R&B singer”.
