Dancehall artistes Intence and I Waata have parted ways with Boysie Records and their manager Andrew ‘Boysie’ Campbell.

Campbell told Loop News two days ago that “we had a five-year contract, but they breached it before the end of three years. We parted ways a month ago, but make them gwaan.”

He added, “I wish them all the best in their future endeavors, but dem fi always remember the root and how it all started and who was there for them in the beginning.”

The manager now has his sights set on “new projects and new beginnings,” and revealed a new artiste known as Sanka, who a few days ago released Charge Up the Bird.

Intence is best known for his singles, Go Hard, Yeng, and Antisocial, while I Waata is known for Cut Off Jeans and Yeng Bounce.  Popular songs like Dry Eye, which just crossed 4 million views, Leave If Uh Waah Leave, and Through The Gate, all focus on different moods, emotions, and perspectives of everyday Jamaica life.

Go Hard was Intence’s breakout hit, but it also describes his mentality and work ethic.  His frequent release of songs and visuals makes his ever eager fan base of young dancehall junkies addicted to his music and especially his wordplay.

The artist has become known for not just his lyricism but his visuals, which are up to par with his hard-hitting rhymes and serenading choruses.

His frequent partner in music, I Waata, has also recently stepped up his efforts as one of the leading newcomers in Dancehall.
