Jada Kingdom Shares Emotional Message About The Success Of Her ‘WiN’ Video
Dancehall artiste Jada Kingdom took to Instagram today to speak about what the song WiN means to her after she realized its music video was trending No. 1 on YouTube in Jamaica.
The video for WiN, which premiered July 26, has racked up over 600,000 views so far and is a song about Jada’s hope and perseverance in the face of adversity and naysayers.
Jada revealed to her 1.2 million Instagram fans just how much WiN meant to her via an emotional video. The One Time singer said that while this isn’t her first time trending No. 1 on YouTube, this time is especially meaningful to her because of what the song represents.
The video, which was shot at her home in Bull Bay and featured many members of her family, gave fans a real feel of how Jada grew up. As Jada said: “nothing was manufactured about it” she continued “This is real life.” She emphasized that the video wasn’t “sugar-coated.”
The young songstress said she listened to the song every day since she recorded it. “Mi build dah song here to motivate myself and give myself strength.”
The 21-year-old also revealed that she has been told that she would never breakout as an artiste. “Over the years I’ve been told so many times, a cyan dweet and mi naw go buss and mi naw go reach nuh weh; unu know di talk dem,” she said.
Jada, who sounded overwhelmed with emotion, went on to say that she is really happy that people are gravitating towards something that means so much to her personally.

She expressed gratitude for the love and the feedback, saying that it also made her happy. “Just thanks fi the love and thanks fi the feedback. I’m so f-cking happy right now unu wouldn’t even understand because as mi say it was totally unexpected.”
Jada beamed with pride about finally having the confidence to be able to represent where she’s from in a “certain way.”
She’s set to release new music soon. Just two days ago, she released a sneak peek on her Instagram into her new song, which will come out on August 14 called Budum.
