Sevana Serves Looks And Sounds Ahead Of Her ‘Be Somebody’ EP
In.Digg.Nation Collective’s sultry siren Sevana is gearing up to release her second EP Be Somebody next Friday, and she has been littering the trail with tantalising sounds and visuals to whet her fans’ appetites.
The Westmoreland, Jamaica native took to social media yesterday to reveal the project cover– a celestial Yoram Savion shot of her wearing nothing but a Thred Designs ruffle top with her long, lean legs in stockings and garters.
Sevana’s social media pages lit up with compliments the moment she announced that “Be Somebody, the EP drops July 31st” with the stunning image.

In.Digg chief Protoje commented on Instagram “Goddess tings. So proud of you!!” while camp colleague Lila Iké tweeted the EP cover with the caption “#BeSomebody @callmesevana July 31st dem dead again.”
The artwork comes just two weeks after the singer released If Only You Knew, the lead track from the upcoming EP, complete with a breathtaking video.
The song, which is Sevana’s first major project since signing with RCA Records, is about how far a woman will go for the one she loves. Fittingly, the video shows the artiste (born Anna-Sharé Blake) traveling by foot, boat, car, and motorcycle in several locations in Dakar, Senegal, and Portland Jamaica. The song was produced by Kelsey Miguel González and the video directed by Yoram Savion.
“Shooting in both countries and understanding the history of Senegal, personally, evolved its meaning from not only a thoughtful love song but also to a contemplation on the resilience of the love of our people,” Sevana said in an Instagram post. “How far and wide we’ve been displaced, and still we’ve maintained the capacity for real love and grace.”
Just days away from its release, the singer is excited about the forthcoming six-track playlist, especially the tracks Set Me On Fire and Mango.
“Set Me On Fire is a tale of revenge in a relationship where she turns her tragedy into triumph,” In.Digg said in a release. “On the more flirtatious track Mango, Sevana has space to flow in her sultry Jamaican accent over a minimal backdrop of airy synths and tickling guitar notes.”
“I wanted to take the listener on a meaningful journey and I think I did that,” the artiste said about her EP. In addition to Kelsey Gonzalez lending production, Izy Beats, J Vibe, Protoje, J.L.L., and Paris La Mont Dennis II anchor the EP with a diverse palette of sounds.
Earlier this month, Protoje took to Twitter to praise Sevana and promised fans that Be Somebody (available for pre-save here) is nothing short of perfect. “Sevana a one a the coldest artist me ever hear a come out a Jamaica. Her project is Flawless,” he tweeted.
