Dancehall superstar Sean Paul has added yet another hit track to his already impressive repertoire. The Grammy award-winning artiste recently released “Bad Inna Bed” which saw him collaborate with top-notch producer, Troy “Troyton” Hinds. Troyton has many Billboard, and Platinum-selling hit riddims like the Dancehall Bully Riddim and the We The Best Riddim.

Bad Inna Bed is performed on his latest offering the Double Clutch Riddim, which is expected to feature other hitmakers like Mavado, Busy Signal, and Christopher Martin.

In a release, Troyton spoke about the inspiration behind the rhythm and his expectations for this one.

“I was home during this pandemic, observing social distancing and quarantine, I was listening to Throwback Tuesday on the radio, and they were playing a lot of 90’s and early 2000’s dancehall, I was vibing, and it started to fuel me. So I went into my lab with this inspiration but wanted to create something that is mine. As a new generation dancehall producer, I always want to represent my culture, no matter what I do, even if it’s not dancehall or reggae per say, I keep some of the elements,” he said.

Sean Paul doesn’t disappoint, and his unique party flavor of dancehall complements the beat well. It’s fast-paced and sounds like early Sean Paul when he dominated the club scene in the late nineties and early 2000s. The lyrics are also reminiscent of his earlier work and will definitely be a favorite this summer.

“We wicked and terrible, wicked and Bad wicked and terrible, booty bang bang terrible mi say mi bad inna bed mi wicked mi so dread mii mashing up har head again, mi no regular mi give her the led and put her on top a the edge and make her wet up the spread again. Terrible mi say mi bad inna bed mi wicked and Mi so dread Mi mashing up her head again, mi no regular mi give her the led and kotch it up on the edge make she wet up the spread again,” he chants in the opening of the song. He maintains the tempo throughout as well.

The release also quoted Nathaniel Wright, a 21st HapilosLabel Manager as saying: “This is another banger from producing giant Troy Hinds of Troyton Records. He has been working with Sean Paul, and the two have great chemistry. This song captures the authenticity of Dancehall, and we are super excited about it, if there is anything we’ve learned from the Verzuz series with Beenie Man and Bounty Killer, it’s the need for more authentic music.”

The song is sure to get some significant airplay, and fans will be waiting to see what the other artistes contribute to the banger of a riddim.
