Quada, whose real name is Shaquelle Clarke, is accused of the murder of Miguel Williams who was said to be mentally unstable. Williams was himself accused of being behind the rape and killing of an 8-year-old girl in Sterling Castle Height, St. Andrew.  Quada is suspected of being part of a group of people who beat Williams to death and set him on fire.

The upcoming artiste in Popcaan‘s Unruly group was wanted for questioning by the Jamaican police and turned himself in on Tuesday.

A statement issued on Wednesday by the Jamaica Constabulary Force revealed that the singer was charged after being questioned by detectives. Quada is the second individual placed before the courts for the murder of Williams. Last year, December, 30 year-old Andrew Breakcliffe was arrested and charged with the same crime, according to the JCF.

Following his arrest, some dancehall fans praised his alleged form of vigilante justice and were already making calls for Quada’s freedom with the hashtag #FREEQUADA on social media.
