Macka Diamond And Tall Up Collab For ‘Brik Pan Brik’ Remix ‘Sit Pon It’
Veteran dancehall artiste Macka Diamond and dancer-turned-singer Tall Up have released a new song titled ‘Sit Pon It’. Their new collaboration is a banging remix or ‘refix’ of Skillibeng’s hustlers anthem ‘Brik Pan Brik’.
The cover art for the new track, revealed by both artistes on Instagram, depicts the singers straddling a large eggplant. The two and a half minute song was released on the YouTube VEVO channels of both artistes today and it features some very explicit lyrics.
Skillibeng’s Brik Pan Brik was a massive success for the young East Syde Records artiste. Since its release in 2019, Brik Pan Brik‘s popularity has continued to climb with the video receiving 1.4 millon views and counting.
Macka Diamond and Tall Up had dropped the song at Macka’s birthday party last Sunday and based on reactions they expect Sit Pon It will be a banger, according to an interview with the STAR.
“The moment we drop the song, the people went crazy. The dancer dem get mad. So when the song touch road, a problem,” said Tall Up.
“The few who hear the preview are excited and so they will definitely love the entire thing. It’s gonna do great,” Macka Diamond said in agreement.
The singers say that they had plans on working together but the song naturally happened the spot. “It was a natural mystic type energy working with Macka, it wasn’t anything planned. We both thought about the song in a party when we heard the Brick Pan Brick song,” Tall Up said.
She added that, “Things flowed so smoothly that we said to each other, we affi record the song, and me realise say me and Macka have the same work ethic when it comes to music. And the passion we had made it even better.”
Macka Diamond, whose real name is Chamaine Munroe has been the business for more than 20 years. The 49-year-old deejay has hit songs like Bun Him, Dye Dye, Wine and Dip.
Tall Up is an upcoming dancehall artiste who was previously a dancer. She styles herself as the ‘Queen of MoBay’ and has released songs like Best Life and Sexy Moan.
