Vybz Kartel Teams Up With Sons Likkle Addi And Likkle Vybz On ‘Magneato Medley’

It’s a family affair as the dancehall lyricist Adidja Palmer, aka Vybz Kartel, teams up with sons Likkle Addi and Likkle Vybz on the ‘Magneato Medley’. The video was officially released yesterday and has already achieved “#1 Trending” status on YouTube in Jamaica. The medley features Likkle Addi‘s hit single “Dollar Sign” as well as “Magneato” by Likkle Vybz and Kartel. Watch the video below.

The Jay Will directed video features the brothers alongside a set of young females who decorated the lavish lifestyle of the Palmer duo. Explicit lyrics were reduced to suit the age and maturity of the young artistes. A brightly lit “VK” stands out all throughout the video, reminding the audience of Vybz Kartel’s presence and his legacy.

Sikka Rymes, Kartel’s usual doppelganger and self-styled VP, was nowhere to be seen. However, his fans didn’t seem to miss his appearance, as they focused mainly on the elevation of the brothers and them following in their father’s footsteps.

The timing of the video’s release couldn’t have been any better as Likkle Addi celebrates his birthday today, December 22nd. Although not new to the music scene or the video light, the sentimental attachment of the video stands strong, even for Kartel. The dancehall veteran openly celebrated his son’s birthday through two (2) posts on Instagram. In the first post, the DJ showcased a picture of his son as a toddler as well as screenshots from the freshly released music video.

Soon after, the proud father posted again, this time including that Likkle Addi was celebrating his birthday in Barbados.

Artistes like Spice, Shawn Storm and Lisa Hyper took to the comments in wishing the young king a Happy Birthday. “Happy G day young King 👑 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙”, commented Spice.

Likkle Vybz, the older of the two, encouraged his followers to visit his brother’s page and wish him a happy birthday. “Everybody go over to @likkleaddi.utg page and help me wish my lil bro happy birthday 🎉, @likkleaddi.utg done know how it set more life, more blessing, more wife, more hits ♑️”, he said.

The incarcerated artiste has been illustrating his “family-oriented” side recently as he is set to release his album entitled “To Tanesha” January 10th, 2020; just 3 days after his birthday, and now being featured in the medley with his sons. Although behind bars, Kartel has been busting bars and leading the dancehall arena, both locally and overseas. We anxiously await his next move and look forward to the growth of the Gaza Family.
