Koffee, Kranium And Alkaline To Feature On Updated Grand Theft Auto V

In what has already been a phenomenal year for reggae/ dancehall superstar Koffee comes even more world recognition. She along with Alkaline and Kranium, have tracks which will be featured among the 28 chosen for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online: The Diamond Casino Heist. The updated version of the much loved game was released last Friday 13 December, 2019.

The game is hugely popular around the world and when it was originally released in 2013 had US$800 million in worldwide sales within 24 hours of its release. Grand Theft Auto V has sold at least 11.21 million copies which mean the artistes’ music will definitely be heard around the world.

Koffee’s newest track ‘W’ featuring Gunna is the one chosen for the game. The song was released just two weeks ago.  Alkaline’s ‘With The Thing’ which was released earlier this year and Kranium’s ‘Money In The Bank’ which was also recently released also features on the game’s soundtrack.

Players of the game can select a radio station to listen to and one of those stations is a reggae/dancehall one. The station is called the Blue Ark and features dub and dancehall music, hosted by Lee “Scratch” Perry. In 2008, Mavado’s Real McCoy made it onto the playlist of the video game. Vybz Kartel feat. Popcaan – “We Never Fear Dem” (2011) also made the cut.
