Dancehall legend Bounty Killer revealed yesterday that his verified Instagram account has been recovered after being hacked recently. The account @grunggaadzilla which had over 400k followers, was renamed by the hackers to “Enes Denier”.

They had deleted all of Bounty’s photos and initially started to sell shoes before making the account private.  Bounty Killer then created a second account and notified fans that his verified account had been taken over by the hackers.

In his first post since recovering the account, Bounty shared the good news: “Finally mi got mi bumbc^^^th page go hack unuh mumma p^^^y bumbo ole unuh can stop di General nuh time never ever”, the General captioned the public announcement.

In another post, Bounty Killer opened a bottle of Martell to celebrate and thanked his long time manager Sharon Burke and the Instagram Support team who worked to help him recover the account from the hackers.

“Buss a bottle in celebration of getting forward my official page dem want mi fi rage. Big Thank You to Sharon Burke and İnstagram Support Team who worked tirelessly on this tedious matter to get it resolved bless up to all my loyal followers who had unfollowed the page instantly but both pages will be active same way feel free to follow both or anyone Alliance Fi Life AFL/ANG!!”, he wrote.

In June, Instagram began testing easier ways to allow users to recover their hacked accounts.  Account security issues have been a sore point as of late among celebrities and verified users.  Fellow dancehall artiste Chronic Law also recently had his Instagram and Email accounts taken over with the hackers demanding $10,000 for its return. After a few days, he also regained access.
