Kiprich, Kizzy Don To Fly Back To New York With Baby Miracle’s Ashes
Dancehall entertainer Kiprich and his fiancée, Kizzy Don, will be returning to New York tomorrow after cremating their newborn daughter, Miracle, in Colombia on Sunday.
“We had to get the death certificate and a document to allow us to travel with her ashes. We are now back in San Andreas, and we fly back tomorrow,” Kiprich told DancehallMag.
He thanked the persons who have been very supportive of the couple during their ordeal.
“I give thanks to everyone who gave what they had, and even though we didn’t get the outcome we wanted, we are forever grateful. Special thanks to Stefflon Don and Spice who messaged me right through the ordeal and the whole situation,” Kiprich, whose real name is Marlon Plunkett, said.
Kiprich said that Kizzy Don may need psychiatric counselling for post-partum depression and her bereavement.
“The trouble is that she is an online person, she seeks her support online, she is that person. I can choose to do without looking online, but when she sees the assertions that people ah pass, especially from people she respects who ah talk down to her, and call her a thief, it affects her,” Kiprich said.
In the wake of Miracle’s sudden birth, there was a steady current of vitriolic and negative comments directed at the couple.
“It was disturbing to see people trying to get a come up out of a baby, an innocent life, it shocked me to see people say so many negative things about an innocent solely based on misinformation, never knew human nature could sink so low,” he said.
The grieving parents shared highlights from the intimate ceremony on Sunday, with a heartbreakingly small white coffin. Both parents took turns to speak directly to their daughter.
“You will forever be in our hearts. The Lord knows best. Him don’t give man more than him can bear. We try everything in our power, drop everything, but the Lord always have a better plan,” the entertainer said.
He later sang a tear-jerking rendition of Amazing Grace.
Kizzy Don, whose real name is Danielle Banton, stood by Kiprich’s side as she addressed her baby, breaking down in tears.
“This is not the end, this is the beginning, the reborn of your mom,” she said.
Miracle was born prematurely at six months and remained in intensive care from birth. She died about two weeks later after battling ongoing medical complications.
