Probe, Red Hot Artist From Mobay, Drops ‘Skull Must Die’
The Montego Bay-based trap dancehall artist Probe is blowing up in the west with his rags-to-riches anthem, Skull Just Die.
The song falls in the ‘chapping’ theme that has taken over trap dancehall which are inspirational largely because they tell tales of young men fighting their way out of poverty by any means necessary, including advanced cyber-scamming.
The song makes the requisite references to bounce cheques, exhausted 401k accounts, Forex changes, Rolexes, cyber-crime, Ethernets, and banger phones.
Probe has a deeper philosophy that’s more than just straight scamming. He shared that “Skull Just Die” is a metaphor for outsmarting life’s woes and gaining wealth in the process.
“In other words, people often face problems on this journey called life, and we have to forge our own path to success,” Probe said.
“Skull Just Die” was released on January 31, 2026, with disturbing visuals which show a ‘skull’ – a Caucasian-looking woman – who appears to overdose on a bathroom floor before her right hand twitches to confirm that she is still alive. The visuals are the usual money-tossing and sexy girls fare but there is a shockingly hilarious shot with a bone-white human skull with its bared teeth gripping a phone. These kids are crazy!
Since its release, the track has been getting rave reviews and has been touted as a potential breakout hit for the artiste.
“You might say, ‘Skull Must Die’ is the act of outplaying the enemy and that message is resonating with the audience and I hope they’ll keep vibing to it,” Probe said.
Born Carlinton Henry, Probe, hailing from Salt Spring and Paradise Norwood in Montego Bay, St James, has been pursuing his professional career for the past year, showcasing his lyrical abilities through songs based on everyday life.
With previous releases including Tycoon and Bag Pack, Probe is gearing up to release more new music, as well as accompanying visuals.
