Pamputtae Makes Plea For US Visa In American Flag Outfit
Jamaican artist Pamputtae made an Instagram petition for her U.S. visa and work permit this week, boasting an outfit inspired by the country’s national flag and declaring that it was time immigration officials got onboard because her fans abroad “want to see Pamputtae.”
According to reports, the Advertisement singer has not performed in the US since 2011.
With the help of her glam squad, the Dancehall artist put together the perfect outfit to plead her case – an entire ensemble bearing the design and colors of the American flag. In a series of photos, Pamputtae paired a ‘stars and stripes’ tie-front, midriff shirt with white leggings styled with back pockets of a similar red, white and blue design. The outfit came complete with red suede knee-high boots and lots of bling, but what really made a statement was her dazzling red hair flowing down her back thanks to hairstylist, SassyClassy Beauty Bar.
“God please make America free mi up now mi need back mi work permit and mi visa,” Pamputtae captioned on a reel of four photos to show off her American flag outfit. She added “The ppl dem want to see pamputtae 🇺🇲🇺🇸🇺🇸 now God and Time,” in reference to her two-month-old single God And Time.
In another post, she showed off the outfit to the tune of her 2017 single, Bedroom Baccanal on the Bubblerz Riddim. “Stop Thinking About Your Past & Start Thinking About Your Future #TeamPamputtae #Inspiration,” she wrote.
While Pamputtae has been making the rounds performing at various events in Jamaica, the singer received a big boost recently from the Queen of Rap – Nicki Minaj, who declared she was a huge fan of her work. Minaj reached out to Pamputtae last September, telling her Advertisement was “my fave bloodclot song” and was later seen dancing to the 2016 single Dah Wine Ya.
She also got subsequent IG follows from the Chun Li rapper and the likes of rapper Lil Wayne.
