After nearly two weeks in police custody, Pops YG got bail on Friday. The ruling came with a strict schedule: the entertainer and TikTok personality must check in with police three nights a week, and a stop order is in place at Jamaica’s ports. Jamaica Gleaner

The Trelawny Parish Court granted the J$500,000 bond after an application by his attorney, Donnovan Collins, The Jamaica Gleaner reported. Pops YG, whose real name is Ansel Fairclough, faces a charge of having sexual intercourse with a person under 16. The court ordered him to surrender his travel documents, barred him from contacting or interfering with the complainant or the complainant’s relatives, and directed him to report to the Warsop Police Station in Trelawny before 8 p.m. every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The bail ruling followed a Monday deadline that put police on the clock. Senior Parish Court Judge Vaughn Facey gave investigators until 6 p.m. to charge Fairclough or release him after Collins challenged his continued detention. Collins told The Gleaner that police filed the charge before the deadline.

Fairclough’s first arrest in September unfolded during a TikTok livestream at his home in Holland Estate, Trelawny. That arrest was part of a separate investigation into suspected lottery scamming, for which he remains on J$300,000 pre-charge bail. Collins told The Gleaner in September that Fairclough maintained his innocence in that matter
