Rick Ross just turned a legal update into a full shoutout session. The MMG boss hopped on his Instagram Story on Monday, November 2, to publicly thank the two lawyers who got the only felony charge in his domestic violence case thrown out.
Last week, the felony battery by strangulation count was dropped due to insufficient evidence. That still leaves Ross, born William Roberts II, facing two misdemeanor counts of domestic battery.
“I have to send this out to the number one attorney in the game, Steve Sadow,” Rozay said in the clip. “My lead attorney, Steve Sadow, I want to thank you for being who you are, what you are, and always bringing the truth to light.”
He kept the love coming, calling Sadow “my very close friend” before signing off with “Big Steve, much love.” Then he turned his attention to the other half of his team.
“This is for Bradley Horenstein, a major part of my legal team,” Ross said, adding that Horenstein “had his boots on the ground making things happen, connecting all the dots!” He also reminded viewers that he had been telling everyone from the start how strong his legal team was.

The case stems from allegations made by his ex girlfriend, Jazzma Kendrick. Ross was arrested days after she shared images of the alleged abuse on his Instagram Story, writing that he “saw me as a punching bag.” Kendrick said she left him the same day he allegedly hit her.
According to the Miami Beach Police Department, the two got into a verbal dispute on August 28 over an Instagram post Kendrick was tagged in.
She told police in September that Ross slapped her in the face every time she denied being in a relationship with the person who tagged her.
Kendrick also alleged that he struck her in the chest several times, leaving her with breathing issues. She claimed he grabbed her by her ponytail and slammed her head into the ground, busting her lip open.
Ross turned himself in last month and pleaded not guilty, calling the allegations “fabricated.” His lawyers have leaned heavily on the timeline, pointing to the gap between the alleged incident and the police report.

“The ex did not even file a police report until a month after the claimed incident allegedly took place,” Horenstein and Sadow said in a statement to iHeartRadio. They described Ross as “being wrongfully accused by an ex-girlfriend whose true motivations are unclear.
The pair also asked the public to hold off on picking sides. Ross “respectfully requests that his friends, fans and the general public not prejudge the situation and allow the judicial process to run its course,” the statement read.
For now, the felony is off the table, but the two misdemeanor counts are still very much alive. Ross maintains his innocence, and the case moves forward with Kendrick’s account still sitting at the center of it.
