Young Thug is heading back out on the road, and the opening night lands somewhere few people would have guessed.

The New Generation Tour kicks off September 1 at Walmart AMP in Rogers, Arkansas. It’s his first headlining run since 2019.

That gap tells its own story. Thug spent the years after his May 2022 arrest caught up in the YSL RICO case in Fulton County, which turned into one of the longest trials in Georgia history.

He entered a non-negotiated guilty plea in October 2024 and walked out on probation, and this tour is the clearest sign yet that he’s ready to work at full scale again.

He won’t be doing it alone. NAV, the Toronto rapper and producer who came up through The Weeknd’s XO imprint, joins as special guest on every U.S. date.

It’s a pairing that makes sense on paper, two artists whose melodic, off-kilter approach to rap shaped a lot of what streaming-era hip hop sounds like.

The North American leg runs about five weeks, hitting Minneapolis, Chicago, Boston, Washington D.C., Charlotte, Raleigh, Tampa and a Texas swing through Houston, Irving and Austin.

New York gets an outdoor night at SummerStage in Central Park on September 13. Michigan fans have Tuesday, September 8 circled for the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights.

The date that will draw the most attention is September 20 at Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta.

Given everything that has played out in that city’s courtrooms, a hometown show carries a weight the other stops don’t. The U.S. run then wraps October 4 at YouTube Theatre in Inglewood.

Then Thug crosses the Atlantic. The European leg opens October 14 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, moves through Dusseldorf’s PSD Bank Dome and Atlas Arena in Lodz, and closes October 24 at Adidas Arena in Paris. Those are big rooms, a bet that his overseas audience has kept the faith through years without live shows.

There’s a practical read on the routing too. The U.S. schedule mixes amphitheaters with ballrooms like Chicago’s Aragon and Houston’s 713 Music Hall.

It looks like a team testing real demand market by market rather than booking arenas across the board.

Ticket hunters should get ready early. A Spotify Reserved presale opens Tuesday, July 14 at 12 p.m. local time, an artist presale follows Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m., and more presales roll out through the week. General on-sale starts Friday, July 17 at 10 a.m. local time.

One curious entry sits at the top of the official date list. It’s a Wednesday, July 8 show at Irving Plaza in New York, nearly two months before the tour officially starts.

No details have been shared about what that night will look like, so New York fans may get the first look before anyone else.
