Lila Ike is closing one chapter before she opens the next, and she’s doing it with a bigger version of the record that introduced her as an album artist.

The Jamaican singer announced on Instagram that a deluxe edition of her debut album, Treasure Self Love, lands December 4th, 2026.

“Before I step into my next chapter, I wanted to give my very first album the celebration it deserves,” she wrote, adding a teary-eyed emoji. That line is doing a lot of quiet work in an otherwise exuberant post.

On the surface, the announcement is pure celebration. Lila promised “new songs, fresh versions” and opened the caption with “Treasuring self-love just got soooo much better!” Her followers will recognize that exclamation-heavy energy from her socials.

Details are still thin. She didn’t share a tracklist, name any featured artists or say how many new songs are coming.

For now, “fresh versions” leaves plenty of room for speculation, and remixes, acoustic takes or reworked collabs are all on the table.

There are two ways to read the move. One is as a victory lap, a chance to keep a body of work she clearly cares about in rotation a little longer. It also gives listeners who found the album late a reason to come back.

The other reading leans on that phrase “next chapter.” Deluxe editions often act as a bookend in an artist’s catalog, a final word on one era before something different arrives.

Lila framing this as a send-off for her “very first album” suggests new material isn’t far behind, though she didn’t say what that next chapter looks like.

Reggae listeners have followed her since her early days around Protoje’s In.Digg.Nation Collective and her 2020 EP The ExPress, and the slow build has been part of the appeal.

She’s never seemed in a hurry. A deluxe edition fits that patient approach of letting songs breathe before moving on.

The visual side of the rollout is already in place. The announcement photo was shot by @cedestial, with design by @thetherapistsol, and the campaign is running under the hashtag #TreasureSelfLoveDeluxe.

She closed the post by turning it over to her audience: “Who’s ready?! Let me know in the comments!” With the tracklist still under wraps, the comments section is where the guessing starts.
