Born Romeo Hines on February 24, 2004, Pablo YG is one of the leading figures of Jamaica’s new-generation dancehall movement. Raised in Shaw Park, St. Ann, Jamaica, he emerged during the COVID-19 era and quickly gained attention for his authentic storytelling, melodic delivery, and trap-influenced dancehall sound. Mentored by Bounty Killer and supported by YGF Records, Pablo YG broke into the mainstream following his appearance at Sting 2022 and the viral success of tracks such as “Bad Juvi” and “Rich N Richer.” His growing catalogue, collaborations with major Jamaican artists, and international partnerships with brands such as Supreme and Clarks have established him as one of the most influential young voices in contemporary dancehall.
