BZR WKND Jamaica has traded October anticipation for a December promise, postponing its October 18 event to December 20 after headliner Cardi B became unavailable to perform.

Organisers announced the new date in a statement to patrons and supporters, apologising to ticket holders who had already booked travel and accommodation.

“Regrettably, due to circumstances beyond our control, Cardi B is unable to perform at BZR WKND Jamaica 2026 as originally scheduled,” the statement said.

The organisers also expressed condolences to the rapper and her family following the death of a loved one. They provided no further details or explicitly linked the bereavement to her withdrawal.

While the postponement leaves patrons rearranging their plans, BZR WKND insisted that its ambitions extend beyond a single performer.

“One thing is certain: We will not let you down. A show will happen!” the statement declared.

Organisers said the additional time would be used to develop a bigger production, reiterating their commitment to delivering a major entertainment experience for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean. The statement did not confirm Cardi B’s participation on the rescheduled date.

All previously purchased tickets will remain valid for December 20. Patrons unable to attend, or who prefer a refund, can email eventsteamjamaica@kanoopays.com.

Refund requests should include the purchaser’s full name, ticket purchase confirmation, order or transaction reference number, and the email address used for the purchase.

A press conference is expected later this week to address questions and provide further details.

For now, patrons have a new date and a refund route. The promised December production—and who will headline it—awaits further clarification.
