Zlatan bounding onto a Wembley stage for “Nakupenda” is not something many people pictured back when Young Jonn was mostly a voice tag at the start of other people’s songs.
On September 25, 2026, the Nigerian hitmaker sold out London’s OVO Arena Wembley in his first headline show at the venue.
For years, Young Jonn was best known as a producer, the man behind the “Jonnie Made Another One” tag that kicked off a run of Nigerian street hits. He spent much of that stretch working in the YBNL orbit with Olamide and Lil Kesh before stepping in front of the mic himself.
The switch paid off quickly. Xtra Cool” became his breakout record as an artist in 2022, and since then he has built a catalogue of easygoing love songs that lean more on melody than flex.
At Wembley, the crowd sang along from start to finish as he worked through his biggest records. Videos from the night show a packed room that barely sat down.

The surprises did a lot of the heavy lifting online. Zlatan joined him for “Nakupenda,” and Blaqbonez came out for “Chanel,” two moments that were clipped and shared almost as soon as they happened.
Those guest spots show how Young Jonn moves. Zlatan comes out of the Zanku street scene, while Blaqbonez built his name as a rapper with a taste for provocation, and both slotted into the set without it feeling forced.
Back home, the reaction has been loud. Nigerian fans have framed the show as another win for Afrobeats abroad, and the buzz has spread across West African music circles more broadly.
There’s another way to read it, though. A sold out London arena isn’t the shock it once was for Nigerian acts, with names like Wizkid and Burna Boy having already filled the city’s biggest venues.
What sets this one apart is the route he took to get there. Plenty of the genre’s headliners were stars from their first singles, while Young Jonn spent years building hits for others before anyone treated him as the main event.

That producer instinct showed in how the songs landed live. Hooks built for radio and Lagos parties translated to an arena crowd that already knew every word.
For a while, the knock on producers turned artists was that they could make records but couldn’t carry a room. Wembley gave a pretty direct answer to that, at least for one night in London.
The bigger test is what he does with the moment. Fans are already asking where he plays next, and the clips from Wembley are still doing the rounds.
