Denvonta “Dirt Rocc” Lee learned that his Southside Crip associate Orlando “Baby Lane” Anderson had been jumped by Tupac Shakur, Suge Knight, and Death Row associates at the MGM Grand, not from the streets, but from investigators who pulled him into a room while he was locked up in LA County jail.
Dirt Rocc was already fighting a July 1996 conspiracy to commit bank robbery case stemming from a failed attempt in Signal Hill when all of this landed in front of him.
He was later transferred to Lynwood’s Crip module, and it was during that stretch that detectives sat him down and played the MGM Grand surveillance footage from the night of the Mike Tyson vs. Bruce Seldon fight in Las Vegas.
