Burna Boy is getting his own radio station in Leonida. Rockstar Games revealed on Thursday (Oct. 8) that the Nigerian star will cohost AfroBank FM in Grand Theft Auto VI, going by the in-game handle Burna.
He won’t be running the booth alone. Selector Palms Trax joins him as Palmsy, and the station leans into African music, amapiano, and 3-step, a lane that hasn’t had this kind of mainstream gaming spotlight before.
AfroBank FM is one of six stations Rockstar named this week, and the roster of hosts reads like a festival lineup. Bad Bunny and RaiNao run Cocoteo FM as El Martillo and La Gata, spinning bachata, merengue, dembow, and reggaeton.
RaiNao sounded thrilled about the gig. “Cocoteo gets our vibe, our slang, our taste, our pride, our experiences, our traditions, and all our crazy antics,” she told Pitchfork, adding that she gets to put “our culture, our music, and our people in the spotlight.”

She also admitted she was never a hardcore gamer, though GTA was always a favorite. “Diving around in a stolen car, blasting music with all that adrenaline pumping was THE VIBE,” she said. “It’s mind-blowing to know that I’ll now be part of that experience.”
Over on Back Country Radio, the pairing gets a little stranger. Morgan Wallen and Lana Del Rey host “renegade country” as MW and Delta Dawne, while Del Rey’s husband Jeremy Dufrene plays Mud Dog Mike, a roving reporter, swamp meteorologist, and airboat captain all at once.
Del Rey’s angle on the series is more personal. She told Rolling Stone that when some of her family first got to LA, “they actually knew the roads because of playing the game,” and called the whole thing “super special and a privilege.
The rest of the dial covers a lot of ground. Slayer’s Kerry King and Tom Araya take metal station The Chamber 106.6 as DJ Kerry and DJ Tom, Robyn and model Alex Consani front pop station Flash FM, and Miami hip hop staples Trick Daddy and Trina handle Dirty South Classics as Trick and Trina.

Rockstar is changing how players actually hear all this, too. On-demand podcasts arrive for the first time in series history, and protagonists Jason and Lucia can keep listening through smartphone headphones on foot instead of losing the signal the moment they step out of a car.
The station news follows September’s reveal of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album, a 34-song companion record.
That project includes Travis Scott’s “RHYNO,” Rauw Alejandro’s “Macacoa 2000,” plus tracks from CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, PinkPantheress, and Keith Richards.
Previews of each station are already live in the Music section of the official Grand Theft Auto VI site. Rockstar says more stations are on the way, with classic rock, blues, electronic, and talk radio formats promised, along with extra singles from the album before the game drops on November 19.
