A $350 haircut for a toddler is one of the line items now sitting in a Los Angeles court file with Chris Brown’s name on it. Diamond Brown, the mother of his daughter Lovely, wants his child support bumped up to $45,000 a month, and she has itemized why.
According to court documents first reported by TMZ, Diamond’s proposal splits the money into two main buckets.
She is asking for $23,000 to cover rent and household expenses, plus another $20,000 for Lovely’s schooling, medical care and extracurricular activities.
The breakdown of Lovely’s monthly costs is where things get specific. Diamond says she spends $500 on clothes, $3,500 on child care, $2,000 on college savings, $350 on haircuts and $2,000 on gifts. She also lists $1,500 for sports and arts lessons.
Readers doing quick math will spot that the two main categories add up to $43,000, not $45,000. The reports so far don’t explain where the remaining $2,000 lands, so that detail may come into focus as the filings move along.

Then there’s the other side of the ledger, which the same filing lays out. Chris already pays the rent and utilities on Diamond’s four bedroom, three bathroom home.
On top of that, he reportedly hands her $7,000 a month in spending money on a voluntary basis, and the filing states he bought her a Tesla.
So the disagreement isn’t about a dad who has disappeared from the picture. Diamond’s argument is that what he provides now doesn’t stretch far enough, and she believes a housing upgrade is due. The new place she has in mind reportedly runs about $15,000 a month.
How people read this will probably depend on where they sit. Supporters of Diamond will point out that child support is typically tied to a parent’s income, and Chris is one of the most commercially reliable acts in R&B, with a tour that has been doing strong business.
Others will look at the existing rent, the monthly cash and the car and wonder how much more a young child actually needs.

Lovely, born in 2022, is Chris’s youngest child. He is also father to daughter Royalty, whom he shares with Nia Guzman, and son Aeko with Ammika Harris. His co-parenting arrangements have played out in public before, and this filing pulls that spotlight back on.
The money request also isn’t arriving in a vacuum. It lands shortly after Diamond accused Chris of harassing her and her boyfriend, a claim the singer has denied. That backdrop could color how both sides approach the support fight going forward.
Chris hasn’t publicly addressed the new numbers. Any adjustment will ultimately be up to the court, and the next round of filings should show how hard his team plans to push back.
