Vybz Kartel Buys US$3.9 Million Mansion In Florida — See Photos
Vybz Kartel’s real estate spree has hit Parkland, Florida, where the Dancehall star has purchased a US$3.9 million mansion on a private 2.19-acre lot.
The seven-bedroom, six-bathroom home sold on May 12, according to public records, which lists the property at 10,107 square feet of interior living space.
The home was represented by Austin Bergman of Compass Florida, with Eric and Christina Trinh of Momentum Luxury Real Estate listed on the Kartel’s side.
And this is not exactly a quiet little hideaway.
The property is billed as a mix of mid-century modern and contemporary design, with 30-foot ceilings, a 600-gallon jellyfish tank, marble and hardwood floors, a gourmet kitchen, a den, office, recreation room, and separate in-law quarters with a full kitchen.
The outdoor setup does most of the shouting: a 140,000-gallon swimming pool, jacuzzi, waterfalls, fire feature, swim-up bar, private patios, and a basketball court. The listing described it as “your own resort.”
The home, originally listed for over $4 million, was previously sold in 2016 for $2.5 million.
Kartel, whose given name is Adidja Palmer, celebrated the purchase across several Instagram posts this week.
One video showed him with his mother, Theresa Palmer, and friends at the property, soundtracked by his song Victory. Another clip showed his fiancée, Sidem Öztürk, holding a “sold” sign before the couple shared a kiss.
“Huge love to this beautiful Vietnamese couple @toprealtorsouthflorida for helping me and Sidem find our new home,” Kartel wrote in one caption. “From the first conversation to the final keys, the energy was genuine, warm, and professional all the way through. Y’all made this moment feel exciting, smooth, and unforgettable. Blessings always.”
The realtor replied in the comments, thanking Kartel and Sidem for trusting them with the purchase and wishing them “happiness, peace, and beautiful memories” in the new home.
The Parkland buy appears to be at least Kartel’s third property purchase since 2024, and seemingly his largest to date.
Kartel and Sidem’s relationship has also been part of his post-prison public life. The two reportedly began communicating in 2015 while he was incarcerated and became engaged in 2022 during an authorized prison visit. She was seen with him after his release in 2024, and the couple later launched their ‘Kiss Me Baby’ YouTube channel.
Kartel was released from prison on July 31, 2024, after Jamaica’s Court of Appeal declined to retry him and his co-accused for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. His conviction had been quashed earlier that year by the UK Privy Council over juror misconduct.
