Flippa Moggela Teams Up With Rvssian On New Single

Dancehall artist Flippa Moggela has joined forces with producer Rvssian for his latest single, Own Don, a bold declaration of independence and self-made success.

Own Don is the first offering from Flippa’s forthcoming EP and is jointly produced by Rvssian’s Head Concussion Records and Flippa’s own Flip Money Records. The track doubles as an anthem and autobiography — a hard-hitting declaration that Flippa doesn’t need to ride anyone’s coattails to maintain his lavish lifestyle. In fact, he recently made headlines after purchasing a new mansion, further solidifying his “Own Don” status.

This is his second time working with the producer after he had recorded the track Man Mix Up on the Gogo Club rhythm produced by Rvssian in 2009.

“The Ep is almost finished, and I am just waiting on two collaborations, and it’s closed,” Flippa revealed. ” I have other big name producers and 8 tracks, possibly 9 but it’s a great start so far,” he added.

Flippa explained that he has nothing left to prove in music and is now recording with a new mindset as he continues work on his Ep. ” I have already set trends. I have nothing to prove, just trying to elevate the new generation about who I am and what I stand for”.

The single comes hot on the heels of Flippa’s triumphant return to the stage at his annual ‘Evolution’ event held on June 29 in Philadelphia. The sold-out show packed out his hometown venue and featured stellar performances from rising stars Nigy Boy and Kkrytical, along with a high-energy set from Flippa himself. The event was elevated by stylish bottle service girls outfitted by A’Legends, adding a layer of glamour to the already flossy affair.

Before Evolution, Flippa had already begun building buzz with a well-received performance at Reggae In The Park in Delaware, curated by Mega Chin, where he thrilled over 700 fans and promoted his then-upcoming show.

Flippa is also preparing to release a tell-all autobiography, promising fans an intimate look at the man behind the floss. For bookings and appearances, Flippa Moggela is represented by agent Lesley Hayles.
