Chronic Law

Ready to capitalize on a year of upward momentum, Chronic Law has released Nuh Nice on the Green Dot rhythm for Chase Millz Records.

The grimy single, which has already racked up over 82,000 views since its release, showcases the futuristic flow of the 1law Boss and name-drops various areas of Jamaica that are dangerous, almost like a lyric-heavy advisory from the Embassy of the United States. He deejays with wicked glee:

Spain nuh nice, Back Bush nuh nice
Full a strap like say we do the biggest gun heist
Portland nuh nice, Rockfort nuh nice
St. James badness well organise
Nuh surprise, shot a chak and man ah dive
We ah push the badness like a smaddy paralyzed
Yallahs nuh nice , wah dat go rise?
Cannot go smile pon the Toronto side

Interestingly, he goes on to name-drop other colorful areas of the island, ‘St. Ann no nice, Denham no nice, Falmouth no nice, Glendevon no nice, before adding ‘Grants Pen badness well organise’.

Chronic Law has already lived through a lifetime of hardships and experience, that’s why fans can’t help but gravitate towards his music which is full of space-age flows, hard-hitting punchlines and sick rhymes.

Injecting real-life scenarios and sentiments into his rhymes, the St. Thomas-born sensation has his sights set on being one of the greatest, and living up to his name, re-writing the rules and legislation that governs the Dancehall Game as the one and only  1Law Boss.

“From grade seven at Morant Bay High School me a write song. All a dem have reality elements and meaning to me. Fiction is rare in my lyrics,” the deejay said in a recent interview with The Star.

The singjay, whose given name is Akeeme Campbell, took the dancehall scene by storm back in 2018 with Hillside and has continued to churn out chart-burners like HillTop Badness, Government, Bless Me, Empty and most recently, Legend and Walk With Faith, both of which have visuals which have racked up over 2 million views in one month.

Chronic Law is one of the most streamed Dancehall artists on YouTube in Jamaica and has been among the top 5 over the last year.
